Tubular Corrugation Heater

Tubular Corrugation Heater

The tubular corrugation heaters are the most widely used source of heating corrugation machines.

CONSTRUCTION OF A TUBULAR CORRUGATION HEATER

There are 3 critical components determining the efficiency of a tubular heater-

Precision wound resistance wire

The basic heating source is a nickel chromium coil which is sized by a computer program and precisely wound to provide the exact heat required. The wire is washed and baked to eliminate contamination and enhance the life of the heater.

High dielectric insulation

The resistance wire is centred in the metallic heater sheath, electrically insulated with pure magnesium oxide powder and then duly sealed from moisture.

Silicone sealed stud material

Threaded stud terminals with silicone rubber seals protect against moisture absorption during storage. Ceramic insulators assure the isolation of the terminal hardware from the sheath.

Thorough multistage testing for better quality control

At Electroheat, multiple testing for electrical capacity, insulation and leakage of current is done at all stages of production as a norm. This ensures rectification of faults as soon as they occur.

ADVANTAGES

Safety

Since the coil does not touch the metallic sheath at any point, there is no possibility of transferring current onto the sheath, making it very safe.

Durability

The supporting frame is made up of a stainless steel centre rod with stainless steel discs, thus ensuring longevity and stability.

Consistent heating

Since the coil cannot be repaired, only replaced by a factory tested heater rod, no variation in electric rating of the heater is possible.

Easy Maintenance

Heating elements are held together by simple bushes, not welded together, making it easy to change rods as and when required. Rods in standard sizes are usually available in stock to minimise breakdown time.

Availability of comprehensive range of sizes ex-stock

Heaters for standard sizes of corrugation machines i.e. 32”, 36”, 42”, 46”, 52”, 56”, 62”, 72” (both oblique and vertical design) are available in stock. Heaters are also designed and customised as per customer specifications.

Precise Temperature Control

Tubular corrugation heaters can be coupled with Single Step and Multi-Step Digital Temperature Control Panels for improved operational efficiency.

Use of superior processes, raw materials and equipment

All aspects of production are minutely monitored and tested, with raw materials sourced only from European or top Indian manufacturers, such that the end product sets benchmarks for quality in terms of performance and durability. This is why we have OEM tie-ups with all top machinery manufacturers.

Versatility

Tubular corrugation heaters can be made in different specifications depending on the type of corrugation machine and the required speed-

  • Standard – used for Conventional corrugation machines with fingers and for Conventional fingerless corrugation machines
  • High Speed – used for Conventional fingerless corrugation machines
  • Super High Speed – used for Imported fingerless corrugation machines 280mm diameter
