The entry of MNCs in the Indian manufacturing industry has brought about a paradigm shift in the Indian Corrugated Box Manufacturing Industry as well. The requirement of corrugated boxes has increased manifold while the quality parameters have become much more stringent. The pressure to meet these international quality standards produced in automatic plants has grown tremendously, even for those manufacturers using semi-automatic plants.
Drying Machines have been developed by Radiant Heating Systems keeping these concerns in mind. It is the only successful machine for drying corrugated boxes that has brought the box quality produced in semi-automatic plants at par with those produced in automatic plants. This was recognized by the FCBM in 2007 and Radiant Heating Systems was awarded the Late B.K.Doshi Award for the Box Drying Machine at their conference in Varanasi.

The Radiant Box Drying Machine ensures uniform and consistent box drying irrespective of prevailing weather conditions- ensuring same compression or bursting strength from same paper quality throughout the year.
Zero Box Deformation
The main reason for any box to deform is uneven drying on parallel surfaces (plies) of the box. When one ply of the box dries more as compared to another ply, tension prevails because of adhesive bonding of the plies. This tension results in arch like formation of the board and hence the box deforms. This process does not occur in the box drying machine because the hot air cyclone penetrates all parts of the box, ensuring uniform drying.
Multiple Heating Options
The Radiant Box Drying Machine has been designed to use various heating sources as per customer’s requirements. It can be customized to use electric heaters, gas, boilers, hot air generators, etc.
Optimum Space Utilisation
The box drying machine covers a small area as compared to the large open spaces required for drying boxes naturally. It can be comfortably installed in the dispatch store or any other place conveniently available in the factory.
Non-stop Operation
The machine is designed for continuous usage and can be run non-stop.
Instant Start-Up
An ideal heating system, air cyclone and high quality insulation help the Radiant Box Drying Machine to deliver within 5 minutes of starting operation. This facilitates drying of small lots without incurring any major additional cost.
Minimal requirement of Manpower
Being automated, the machine requires only three men for loading, unloading and bundling operations. This is a much lower number than what is required for natural drying where either a large part of the factory work force or contractual labour is needed for spreading and collecting the boxes.
Compact and Flat IR Dryer Options
Compact Infra- Red dryer for smaller areas and flat IR dryer for specific applications are also available.
Radiant Box Drying Machine Models:
SBLQ Series
These machines are capable of handling boxes in large quantities. It is conveyorized and provided with optimum temperature controls, racks, etc. Box quantities in excess of 10000 in 10 hours with a maximum weight of 1.5 kg per box can be dried in this series. It is available in three capacities indicating moisture quantity in kilograms the machine can eliminate. For eg. SBLQ 400 can reduce moisture level of 4 tons of boxes by 10% in 10 hours or of 8 tons of boxes by 5% in 10 hours.
LBSQ Series
These machines are trolley type and not conveyorised. It considers the fact that large boxes (1 Kg plus) are usually in small quantities (less than 4000 boxes a day). This can be comfortably done manually and a conveyor of this magnitude will increase cost drastically.
In our endeavor to make continuous improvements, all technical specifications are subject to change without notice. Please confirm specifications prior to order. In addition, the machine can be designed as per specific requirements of the box manufacturer and can be offered with alternative fuels. The machine can be attached to a boiler – thermic fluid/steam. A hot air generator which may be diesel/LPG/Wood fired can also be attached if boiler or electricity is not available.
